Minister’s message

The end of Year 12 is drawing near — which means time to relax and have fun with friends and family before moving into the next phase of life.

But before leaving school, it’s important to know a few things that will help young people and their friends have a memorable and enjoyable time at any Schoolies occasion.

This website contains useful information about health and safety, and rights and responsibilities for schoolies, their parents, and businesses and community members.

The Queensland Government is committed to working in partnership with local councils and community organisations to provide a coordinated community safety response to make Schoolies as safe and risk-free as possible.

Spending time now reading this information and talking about how to stay safe can help to ensure that Schoolies is a time to remember for all the right reasons.

Have fun, take care, but most importantly be safe and watch your mates!
